CAMP DATES

SIGN UP UNDER THE ” BOOK HERE” here tab on the main page. Choose Camps, and then the date(s) you would like to sign up for. Summer Camps start at 9:00am and run until 2:00pm. Latchkey is available. Please email for signup. Unicorn & Young Rider camps runs from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1-4pm

+Please fill out camper form, & liability waiver and email, or bring on first day of camp. You can locate both under the forms tab. Liability waiver can also be filled out when signing up. Please note, there is $100 non-refundable deposit/cancelation fee for 4-5 day camps, and a $25 non-refundable deposit/cancelation fee for daily camps.

UNICORN DAY CAMP: 6 campers max

For campers ages 5-9. This camp is all about unicorns, horses, fun, glitter, and letting your imagination run wild! Will include a riding a “unicorn” (aka horse), unicorn painting, unicorn themed crafts, games and more!

YOUNG RIDER CAMP: 6 campers max

Similar to our Summer day horse camp geared towards our younger riders. Feeding, grooming, riding, and all things horse.

SUMMER DAY HORSE CAMP: 10 campers max

 Small group sessions

Ages 9 +

Latch Key available before & after (prior arrangement required) – $10 hour (billed in 1/2 hour increments), Please email for sign up. info@grandmaplefarm.com

Activities: 

Farm Feeding (Each camper will take part in the feeding process and will be assigned a specific task each day.)

Barn Care  (Each camper will take part in the daily care of the barn)

Horse anatomy  (Each camper will learn all basic horse anatomy)

Proper grooming  (Each camper will learn to properly groom their horse entirely including picking feet.)

Proper tacking/saddling/bridling  (Each camper will learn the proper process and learn to do all aspects of this process.)

Ground work/handling (Proper handling of the horse on the ground is the first step in establishing leadership.)

Extensive ride time (The time allowed for riding will progress as the campers become more efficient in the above process.)

Proper un-tacking process and tack care. (Each camper will learn a proper procedure for un-tacking as well as proper care of their equipment such as cleaning and storage)

Horse bathing/end of day grooming

We will also have activities including horse painting (literally), costume class (dress your horses up), arts & crafts, and other fun games & events. Some of these may include getting wet so please send a change of clothes if your child will be participating in the water games.

  • What to wear.  To avoid discomfort or injury when riding, we recommend wearing long pants and boots. Have your camper bring shorts, etc. to be more comfortable during the day when not riding. If your camper has a riding helmet, please bring along for the week. If your camper does not have a horseback-riding helmet, we will provide one for use during the week. 
  • Please bring lunch, a snack to eat and a reusable water bottle. Some treats will be provided so please mark if any allergies on camp form.
